Approved for Phlebotomists by California Department of Public Health, Laboratory Field Services  

Get Your CEU’s from CPT, Inc.!

CPT, Inc. is approved by the California Department of Public Health to provide courses tailored to Health Care Professionals that require Continuing Education Units (CEU’s).

Certified Phlebotomy Technicians (CPT-1) can receive CEU’s by attending one or more days of phlebotomy theory class.                                                     

American Heart Association Guideline Classes:

  • BLS For Healthcare Providers ($60)
  • BLS Re-Certification ($35)

The state of California, as of April 9, 2003, has implemented certification requirements for those who currently practice phlebotomy, or wish to do so. All Phlebotomists and students must take a CDPH-LFS approved phlebotomy course, and upon completion of program pass the national exam, and apply for and receive certification form from CDPH-LFS. If you have had phlebotomy experience in the last 5 years, you may only need our advanced class to be eligible for the certification test and licensing required by CDPH-LFS.
